Backups allow you to quickly recover your data following an error or security incident. They are an essential component of any disaster recovery process.
Which backup level should you choose?
We offer two backup options, which can be used simultaneously, depending on the level of data security and availability your business requires.
Internal Backup (JetBackup)
The internal backup is performed automatically within your Cloud VPS.
To enable you to manage this backup independently, we provide the JetBackup tool, allowing you to automatically extract or restore files, databases, and emails to the date of your choice, directly from your control panel.
If your Cloud VPS becomes unavailable, your internal backup will also be inaccessible. In such cases, an external backup would be more useful for restoring your entire server.
External Backup
The external backup is performed automatically on a separate platform (on the same continent) from the hosting platform of your Cloud VPS. It is also duplicated onto a data center on another continent, ensuring your data remains available even if your Cloud VPS becomes unavailable. We retain daily images for the last 2 days and weekly images for the last 2 weeks, allowing you to restore your Cloud VPS from j-1, j-2, w-1, or w-2 images.
This external backup does not replace the internal backup, as it is performed in the form of a full image that only allows complete restoration of your Cloud VPS, and does not allow separate extraction of data such as files, emails, or databases.
