What is ID protection (or ID protect)?
The ID Protection service is an essential security tool that safeguards your personal information online. When registering a new domain, your personal information (name, address, email, phone number, etc.) is made public in the global WHOIS database. This database is often used by spammers to send you unwanted emails.
ID protection prevents this public disclosure and replaces your details with those of the Domain Privacy Service, keeping your actual information only with the registrar.
